Sisters of St.Anne of Trichirappalli under the patronage of St.Anne and Joachim
St.Anne and Joachim, was a dedicated couple, chosen by God. They had all the riches in life, but
they lacked the greatest wealth of a child. Despite this they never failed to praise god and
they
earnestly fulfilled their religious duties. The couple humbly performed the temple services as
requested by God, despite the cruel word of villages who criticized them for their apparent
childlessness.
Despite facing immense hardships and scorn from their relatives, St.Joachim and St. Anne
maintained
their unwavering faith in god. After Joachim was expelled from his temple duties and Anna was
given
the title of barren they were tested by god for 20 years. Despite being perceived as cursed,
their
faith in God was never shaken.
As gold is being purified in the fiery furnace St.Anne and Joachim were put through a rigorous
trial
of faith. And they were ultimately blessed with the ability to conceive and raise the
Immaculate,
who would later give birth to Christ.
The Congregation of Sisters of St.Anne of Trichirappalli was established in honour of St.Anne
and
Joachim who exemplified unwavering faith in God. Every year on 26th of July, the congregation
celebrates their feast day. This commemoration serves as an opportunity for the sisters of
St.Anne’s
to renew their commitment to accomplish their divine mission and receive the benevolence and
blessings of the Saints. It’s essential to acknowledge that the success of our endeavour is
determined by the strength of our convictions. Our ability to achieve our goal is contingent
upon
our beliefs.
If we set out with a strong belief in ourselves, a clear vision of where we want to go, and
optimism
of our own success and the success of those around us, then we can achieve our
objectives.
Let’s believe...
Let’s live...
Let others Live...
